Dating is Miserable but it’ll get you laid

I will put out for a good sense of humor.

I just received the following e-mail on OKC which may go down as one of the greatest correspondences I have ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on.

Subject: OKC has decided we are the same percentage slut

So that's something, I guess.

Hi there! I like your style, and think we could click. Plus, check out these awesome things I've got going for me:

1. I'm not an unemployed hippie.
2. I'm not still involved with an ex wife.
3. I haven't cheated on you. But give me some time, and I'll work on it.

And hey, I dug Invisible Monsters too. I even have one of the really amazing quotes from Brandy on my Facebook profile, but I can't get to it because I'm in Beijing at the moment and China thinks it's reasonable to block such things. Though at times I get annoyed with Palahniuk's writing style.

Anyway.

If you'd like to go out some time, I'm game, though I'm probably jet lagged to hell for a couple days this week (I'm back in the states on the 3rd).

Why this email is amazing:

1. He made me laugh. Note to Men: If you haven't figured it out by now if you can make a woman laugh you can probably also get in her pants.

2. He actually read my profile! I can't begin to count how many weird e-mails I've received from guys who just saw my picture and are trying to have leh sex with my face.

3. He has read my blog and still wants to go out with me despite it.

4. He actually asked me out. I hate the back and forth e-mails on dating sites where the conversation never goes anywhere.

5. He appears to exhibit the qualities of being the Mayor of Awesometown.

I should also mention he's cuuuuuute.
